Microsample is the world’s only manufacturer of the specimen fabrication device.
The specimen fabrication and test method was originally developed in cooperation with the Erich Schmid Institute, Austrian Academy of Sciences, Austria. Our first series-produced model is designed and manufactured completely in-house. The advancement is based on the experience with our first device including a major re-design, which features a user-friendly operation without a compromise in terms of quality.

A customized data processing evaluation software gives the opportunity to perform tensile tests and analyse tensile test data with high efficiency. Hence, the determination of a large number of mechanical properties of different materials on the meso-scale is possible in short time. Even the evaluation of true stress, true strain and the reduction of area is feasible. The round cross-section allows to determine the ductility, in terms of reduction in area, directly from the tensile test data without further time consuming investigations.
